Welcome to Prescott Loyalist Days 2010
Thank you for visiting the home page of the premier Historical Re-Enactment Festival in Eastern Ontario, Canada!
After two years of outstanding Revolutionary War-era battle re-enactments at Fort Wellington National Historic Site courtesy of the King's Royal Regiment of New York, we are mixing things up in 2010 to help Prescott mark its 200th anniversary.
Come join us on the weekend of Friday, August 6 through Sunday, August 8 for musical ride and skill-at-arms demonstrations by the Governor General's Horse Guard, an elite cavalry squadron (also marking its 200th anniversary this year) that will be performing in 1910-era uniforms. In addition to these displays of riding acumen, we will be hosting firing demonstrations representing the entire history of Fort Wellington from 1812 through the 1860s.
Other big events on the weekend include the Moonlight Movie Presenting Robin Hood on a 40' outdoor screen on the Fort Hill, the Flash & Roar Fireworks courtesy of HFI Pyrotechnics (Hands), the Brigadier's Bash Dance at the Prescott Fire Hall, a Children's Mock Battle and Little Ladies Victorian Tea, wagon tours of Prescott hosted by the Grenville County Historical Society, and much more!
