Welcome to Prescott Loyalist Days 2011
Thank you for visiting the home page of the premier Historical Re-Enactment Festival in Eastern Ontario, Canada!
LOYALIST DAYS 2011 is over, but LOYALIST DAYS will be back in 2012! Thank you all for the support this summer, and see you next year!
Be among the first people in Canada to mark the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 in the summer of 2011 at Prescott Loyalist Days!
Come join us at Fort Wellington National Historic Site in Prescott, ON on the extended weekend of Thursday, Aug. 18 through Sunday, Aug. 21 for War of 1812 battle re-enactments staged by the 1812 Crown Forces North America. Battles will take place along the St. Lawrence River and on the adjoining fields by Fort Wellington, with forces charging into the fray to defend Canada.
And there is much more! Events for the whole family run the entire long weekend. Youngsters can take part in the Little Miss Loyalist Pageant, which returns to the Leo Boivin Community Centre for the first time in nearly 20 years, and a MuchMusic Video Dance. Fort Wellington is the site of the 1812 Barracks Dinner, as well as the Moonlight Movie presentation of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides on a 40'-high outdoor screen. The Seaway Autumn Studio Tour takes place along the riverside, featuring some of Eastern Ontario's finest artists. Our Grenville County Historical Society will be offering guided wagon tours of Historic Prescott. And be sure to check out the Flash & Roar Fireworks courtesy of HFI Pyrotechnics on Friday night.
Come out and help us in our yearly efforts at Making History A Good Old Time!
