9:00am-4:00pm TALENT BY THE TOWERDowntown Prescott art show, sidewalk sale, entertainment, wagon rides from clock tower to Fort Wellington and back. Come out and see the finest works of regional artists and artisans! Sponsored by Downtown Prescott BIA.
10:00am-4:00pm HORSE AND BUGGY TOURSClop through downtown Prescott! Tours leaving from Fort Wellington every half-hour. Cost is just a Toonie.
Noon LOYALIST LUNCH BBQPrescott Youth Centre/Prescott Food For All Barbecue on the Fort Hill near the parking lot.
1:00pm OPENING CEREMONIESOfficially welcoming you to Loyalist Days 2010, at the podium below the Fort Hill.
1:15pm MARCHING AND FIRING DEMONSTRATIONSDisplays of 1812, 1830s, and 1860s uniforms and weaponry, with members of the Brockville Infantry and Parks Canada staff.
2:00pm GOVERNOR GENERAL'S HORSE GUARD CAVALRY SQUADRONMusical Ride and Skill-at-Arms Demonstrations by the elite Governor General's Horse Guard Cavalry Squadron in 1910-era uniforms. The squadron is marking its 200th anniversary this year, just like Prescott!
3:00pm GRENVILLE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY WAGON TOURSA guided tour of historic Prescott atop a horse-drawn wagon, courtesy of the Grenville County Historical Society. Re-enactors will recreate moments from Prescott history en route. Cost is a small donation to the society.
3:00pm CHILDREN'S MOCK BATTLEAll kids are welcome to take part in this mock battle demonstrated by the Parks Canada staff. Learn about 1800s battle tactics or just have some fun in a uniform and wooden musket!
3:30pm LITTLE LADIES VICTORIAN TEA PARTYMarking Loyalist Days 2010 with high tea and the serving of the Loyalist Days cake. The party takes place in the Loyalist Days information tents on the Fort Hill.
5:00pm GOVERNOR GENERAL'S HORSE GUARD CAVALRY SQUADRONSkill-at-arms demonstrations by the Governor General's Horse Guard Cavalry on the Fort Field.
5:30pm WOODLANDS CHICKEN BBQDelicious chicken BBQ from Woodlands, cooked and served on site. Get your fill along the closed Dibble St. E. right outside the Leo Boivin Community Centre. Cost is $12 for a half-chicken dinner.
9:00pm MOONLIGHT MOVIECome see an outdoor movie in the park for the first time in Prescott! Watch the 2010 version of Robin Hood on a 40' screen on the Fort Hill. Popcorn and refreshments will be served. The movie is free of charge with the $2 purchase of a Loyalist Days button.
